How I Got Into Nursing School
My journey into nursing school started in high school. As a senior in high school, I applied to nursing school early. Fortunate for me, my college offered an early entrance into nursing school for all high school seniors where the only requirements were an ACT score of 25 and a high school GPA of 3.0. Because I met both requirements (my ACT score being 27 and GPA being 4.0), I was automatically accepted into nursing school.
My advice to you:
- If you are a high school student: see if your nursing program of choice offers a high school pre-admit program.
- If you are a college freshman, try to maintain the highest GPA as you possibly can. Having a high GPA will increase your chances of getting into nursing school.
After graduating high school, I then completed all of the required undergraduate college courses that I had to finish before starting nursing school. These courses included: A&P, Microbiology, Nutrition, English, Math, etc. Once these courses were completed, I then embarked on my nursing school journey in the spring of 2018.
